We are very excited that our
markets have been approved
and will be participating in the
Farmers' Market Nutrition
Program and the Special
Supplemental Nutrition Program
for Women, Infants and Children
(WIC)! We attended the first
session Nutrition Program
Training in April, and the second
session WIC Training in
September and will be able to
accept the FMNP and the CVV
coupons from WIC and CSFP
recipients for purchasing our
fresh vegetables.
This programs goal is to
improve the health and nutrition
status of women, children and
seniors by increasing
consumption of fresh fruits and
vegetables. To strengthen and
promote local Farmers' Markets,
and to increase the local
growers' share of the food
dollar. We are proud to be
participating in bringing this
program to our communities.
